Aluminium 1050 channels are commercially pure aluminium with a minimum of 99.5% aluminium. The alloy is known for its high corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and high workability. Aluminium 1050 has a tensile strength usually between 60-100 MPa and is a relatively soft material that can, however, be strengthened using cold working. Aluminium 1050 is non-heat-treatable but has good weldability and machinability and is best suited for applications where there is a need for moderate strength and high corrosion resistance.
